The Next Door Chattanooga
The Next Door Chattanooga officially opened its doors to serve women reentering the Hamilton County community from incarceration, receiving the first three residents on Friday, June 4. "This is not only a tremendous day for The Next Door, but for all the women that are currently incarcerated desiring to reintegrate to the Greater Chattanooga region", said Linda Leathers, TND's Chief Executive Officer. "The Residential Transition Center is a special place. The facility has been transformed. We will pray by God’s grace and mercy that lives will now be changed!"
The Next Door Chattanooga is quickly reaching capacity of 24 women at a time. Women will come to the Residential Transition Center by referral and application from incarceration. The program includes transitional housing, addiction recovery support services, individual and group counseling, workforce development support, and case management.
You can help us serve women in the six-month Residential Transition Center by donating financially, volunteering, or providing items on the following Wish Lists of Year Round Needs and Furnishings and Equipment Needs. Gift cards (Wal Mart or Target) are also helpful and always welcomed.
If you would like to make a donation or volunteer, please call The Next Door at (423) 933-0112.
