Through a generous donation from Brentwood Baptist, each family at FRC received a Holiday Food Basket which enabled them to have a wonderful breakfast on Christmas morning. Each family received eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuit mix, gravy mix, pancake mix, syrup, butter, jelly, muffin mix, orange juice, milk, chocolate milk, coffee, and a bag of fresh fruit.
They were so surprised when told about the donation and I am not sure who was more excited, the moms or the children! The donation added immensely to this special day.

Our residents made chocolate covered marshmallows and packaged them with packets of hot chocolates to give as Christmas treats for our volunteers!

Through a generous donation, the women and children at TND and FRC who were not able to go home were able to enjoy a holiday meal together. The menu included ham, scalloped potatoes, green beans, sweet potato casserole, corn pudding, rolls, red velvet cupcakes, ambrosia, brownies, and peppermint ice-cream along with iced tea and fruit punch. As the smells of the baking and cooking traveled upstairs, the question “Is it ready yet?” was asked many times! Everyone was grateful for the opportunity to have Christmas dinner together.

FRC has had a wonderful Thanksgiving day with family and friends. Tenants were the recipients of food baskets donated by Riverside Chapel. The ladies cooked and cooked for the pot-luck dinner. Afterwards they prepared approximately 150 take out boxes and donated them to homeless individuals.
Everyone had a great day of food and fellowship.
