Prayer Walking Nashville’s New Property!
May 23, 2013
Last week in Nashville, we held a prayer walk at our future property! We believe that prayer is foundational to everything we do at The Next Door and deeply appreciate all of our prayer warriors who attended. God has given us the task of building a new facility and we continually seek His guidance for all decisions along the way! If you would like to join our weekly prayer email update, please email Laura Weibezahn.
Please pray for us in the following ways:
-Pray for our Construction Team as they finalize our budget and design elements.
-Pray for protection, strength, wisdom, and discernment for the our current residents and staff.
-Pray for The Next Door’s Board of Directors as they continue to give excellent and visionary leadership to the organization.
-Pray that Individuals, Churches and Corporations will desire to join our prayer team and give financially.
“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.”

Suzanne’s TNDTestimony
April 26, 2013
“I have lived for one reason, to feel alive. Unfortunately I turned to alcohol and drugs to achieve this end. But with the help of The Next Door, I’ve learned that true inebriation is living with a keen awareness of a Power greater than myself. As my soul heals, I don’t need alcohol to get drunk anymore. Thank you The Next Door for a soft bed, a place to shower, food to eat, clothes to wear, occupation, my Higher Power, my life path of recovery, love and encouragement. In short, for my life!”

What an incredible night for The Next Door with the successful launch of our new Celebrating Families curriculum! Celebrating families is a 16 week group that works with families. Each of these groups is designed with three primary goals in mind: to break the cycle of substance abuse and dependency within families, to decrease substance use and relapse, and to facilitate successful family reunification.

New Volunteer Opportunity!
March 21, 2013
By providing the family meal you are an important part of helping this generation be the first to break the cycle of addiction and poverty! This is a great opportunity for small groups, families, and friends. Simple, child friendly meals like chicken fingers, pasta dishes, sandwiches, and fruit are examples. You can bring a meal and eat with our families or fund a meal if that is more convenient.
Volunteer Highlight: Cindy Caudle
Here at The Next Door we are continually humbled by our volunteers willingness to go above and beyond. Cindy Caudle and her husband Joe have coordinated a monthly dinner for our residents for over a year. Recently for Cindy’s birthday, she asked her friends to bring items to donate to The Next Door in lieu of gifts for herself. Cindy’s creativity and heart to help have inspired us deeply.
